The Urban Botanist brings the outside world inside with gardening under glass in an urban environment. Integrating recycled and reusable materials into building terrariums, a self contained & self sustaining ecosystem. Our fully comprehensive workshops are a hands-on learning experience, that leave you filled with knowledge about botanical care, plant varieties, environments and more. The Urban Botanist offers public and private workshops, interior displays and custom orders.

Recreated Designs provides a variety of learning opportunities through in person classes, online videos and DIY blog posts that help to empower you to create beautiful, rustic décor. For those who prefer to have us do the creating, we also make unique one-of-a-kind pieces out of reclaim wood and vintage finds.

#613DIY: Inspire, Renew, Restore presented by Rust-Oleum Canada
With help from local design and DIY expert Sarah Kidder, visitors will use Rust-Oleum products to bring pre-loved housewares new life and purpose. Participants can bring their own items from home or choose from several tester items onsite courtesy of Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore, which will be available on donation. Additionally, there will be several professionally upcycled items donated and completed by Sarah Kidder to be auctioned off onsite, with proceeds going to the Greater Ottawa Habitat for Humanity.
